Section 1: Quick Tips

NOTE: *THESE STEPS ARE FOR THE KONICA MINOLTA PULSOX 300i OXIMETER ONLY* See SleepSat Not Connecting / Being Detected in SatScreen Connection Center App article for SleepSat Troubleshooting.

After each step below, check the Patient Safety Connection Center to see if it begins to detect the device. If the "Waiting for Device" message does not disappear, move on to the next step.

While the Patient Safety Connection Center is open:

Step 1:
Oximeter should be in the ON position.

Plug in, then turn ON your oximeter by pressing down the round button next to the display screen. The oximeter screen should say
“UA”.

Step 2:
Check the adapter cable connections and plug into a different USB port

Disconnect the USB adapter cable and plug it into a different USB port. Turn ON the oximeter.

*The diagram shows how the cables connect to each component. DO NOT use excessive force when inserting the cable connectors into the components. With proper orientation, the connectors should slide together easily.

Step 3:
Replace Battery

Make sure the oximeter is charged, or, swap the existing battery out for a new one.
*The oximeter may indicate the battery is close to full when it is first turned on even if the battery is very low.
Step 4:
Disconnect other USB devices.

 Some
wireless USB devices, USB adapters, digital signature pads, and card readers, will interfere with Oximeter device connection. If you have any of these devices plugged in to a USB port, disconnect the device(s) from the computer, then disconnect and reconnect the Minolta USB Adapter cable.

If the device is connected and reading properly, the “Waiting for Device” message will disappear.

If it does not disappear, follow the steps in the next section to manually install the device driver.
